James is both a litigation/trial and transactional attorney. His primary practice areas are entertainment, commercial/business, intellectual property, employment and real estate. As a litigator, James has successfully represented both plaintiffs and defendants in many high profile business, entertainment and intellectual property matters. As a transactional attorney, he has negotiated numerous film and television projects, from development to distribution. He began his legal career as an associate at a prestigious San Francisco law firm handling a number of high profile transactional and litigation matters including mergers and acquisitions, investment fund formation and secured transactions. James joined The Cochran Firm – California in 2014, establishing the firm’s entertainment and business division. He has obtained numerous dismissals and nearly $20 million in jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements on behalf of his clients in both state and federal courts. James has also been engaged in negotiating a total of more than $1 billion in business transactions.

Judge Carlos E. Moore, a Moss Point, Mississippi native, is the Managing Partner of The Cochran Firm – Mississippi Delta located in Grenada, Mississippi. In July of 2017, he was appointed as the first African-American Municipal Judge Pro Tem for Clarksdale, Mississippi. In May of 2020, he was named the first African-American Municipal Judge Pro Tem for Grenada, Mississippi. A graduate of Moss Point High School (Salutatorian), the University of South Alabama, and The Florida State University College of Law, Judge Moore also completed course work at Rice University in Houston, Texas, and the University of Mississippi School of Law in Oxford.
Judge Moore is very active in several bar associations, including the American Bar Association, National Bar Association, American Association for Justice, The Mississippi Bar, Magnolia Bar Association, Mississippi Association for Justice, and the Grenada County Bar Association. In 2011 after completing three years on the Mississippi Bar Ethics Committee, Moore was elected by his peers to serve a three-year term as a Commissioner of the governing board of The Mississippi Bar, which regulates all the lawyers in Mississippi. In addition to his bar association work, Carlos is very active in his community. Besides being a 2010 graduate of Leadership Grenada, he is a member of the Grenada Rotary Club, Grenada Chamber of Commerce, 100 Black Men of Grenada, Inc. (Founding President), Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc., The Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He is a board member and Founding Chair of the Grenada Unit of the Boys and Girls Clubs of the Mississippi Delta.
Rodney S. Diggs is named Partner at Ivie McNeill Wyatt Purcell & Diggs. His law firm is the largest black owned law firm in the United States. He also has offices internationally, in Paris and Brazil. His law firm was founded in 1943 and has produced 6 judges. Mr. Diggs graduated with a B.A. from UCLA and received his law degree from Howard University School of Law.

Over his career, Mr. Diggs has obtained over $100 million in jury verdicts, arbitration awards and settlements on behalf of his clients in all courts, throughout the country.
Mr. Diggs has received hundreds of awards for his advocacy on behalf of his clients. He is constantly named as a top attorney, best lawyer or most influential African American. Specifically, in 2021, Mr. Diggs was honored in New York at the Plaza Hotel as the Nation’s Attorney of the Year by International Association of Top Professionals.
Because of the fight and drive Mr. Diggs has on behalf of clients and for the community, he is able to obtain high verdicts and settlements.
